Should I ignore women?

Hey, there. I've recently decided to ignore women that I'll be around in the future, or just act like I don't really care what they have to say. I'm doing this because I've been upfront and acted interested before, and I've been burned. I don't put women down or talk mean to them, I just act uninterested. Will this backfire on me?
