Ford F100 1974 Truck 2 wheel Drive?

drove it past 2 days ran great. this morning went to store got there went to leave it died on me. getting gas in carb. it run for few seconds then die. i put new fuel pump on it. and filter to carb also. i have new plugs wires points cond. cap. rotor. contacts. . any advice. ? its running rough. its parked where its broke down. did not backfire. took dist cap off had friend bump it over rotor did turn. when i turn it over it run for couple seconds. then die it is getting gas.
