Opinions, advice, Is this unusual? ?

So my nephew is taking a flight from Pennsylvania to Miami. His flight was originally for yesterday (Sunday the 26th) at 6am but it was delayed until today (Monday the 27th) at 6am but at it turns out it was also delayed as well!!! I have spent the day talking to the airline representatives & even though they can't guarantee the same thing wnt happen 2morro, they say he should give it one more try because it is rare for there to be 3 cancellations/delays in a row & that the chances of everything going as it should are much better. Is this true? Wat do you guys think?
