The Adoption Process? Adopting a Child Internationally? (Specifically Russia) What to do and what to expect?

So my husband and I have decided we want to adopt. Not because we can't have kids, we're both fertile, but we felt that adoption was the right way to go for us and we wanted to give a child a home. I was wondering if anyone knew of any good websites explaining the full adoption process in detail and everything we would need to prepare/what to do and what to expect or if anyone has had any experiences with adoption that they would like to share that would be great! =) I have already been looking into Russia, and specifically St. Petersburg Orphanage. How should I 'get the ball rolling' and start this process? Would going with an agent be the best way to go or could i try to contact the orphanage directly?
